Get Active
Who is watching them while they are watching you?
We are. But we can’t do it without your help. We rely on the support of our members to be able to fulfill our function of protecting and promoting liberties and freedoms. QCCL is a non-profit community organisation that receives no government or corporate funding.
We encourage our members to be involved in creating a truly civil society. If you are concerned about an issue, you can make a difference. Do not underestimate what one person’s effort can accomplish.
Here are some suggestions of ways in which you can get active about your civil liberties and help the QCCL:
- Become a member of QCCL and strengthen the organisation through your involvement and financial support;
- Make a donation to QCCL, a non-profit organisation which relies solely on membership and donations to function;
- Contact QCCL via email, post or phone to express your concerns about an issue, to inform us of an infringement of civil liberties or to seek referral;
- Speak out on matters that you feel strongly about - write to the newspaper, call your radio station, speak to groups in which you are involved.
- Express your views to a member of parliament through an email, letter, telephone conversation or face to face visit. This is the only way in which your representative can learn what you feel about an issue and respond to your concerns.
